How to self-study?

I have seen that sticky about self studying. It just told me which ones are easier/harder to self-study and some general advice. Should I buy textbooks or those prep books? When should I start? What is a good study plan?

If I should buy textbooks what are some good ones for:
*Psychology
*Environment Science
*Art History
*Macroeconomics
*Microeconomics
*Human Geography

ANYTHING WILL HELP THANK YOU! :)

^^that is the most ANNOYING post ever!!! Its everywhere! Stop posting it!

Barrons for psych, PR for enviro, 5 steps for the econs, and PR for HG. Art history is really tough, especially if you’re self studying. If you still want to continue with it, I’d say Gardner’s textbook with REA or the Annotated Mona Lisa as preps.

So no textbooks, other than for art history? Do the prep books really teach you that much?!

*Psychology- Barron’s, hands down, it’s overkill by Barron’s if compared to any other study guide for this.
*Macroeconomics- I’ve heard PR is good for this and Micro
*Human Geography- Once again, overkill by Barron’s

Pretty much, they basically have all the material you need plus tips like for essays and such. Look through one, they have pages of what you need, and (at least with exception to some Barron’s books) usually just simplify the stuff to what you need only.

Hmm good to know thank you! :)
