hi, i’m sending my application soon
but can someone help me with this?

does Bates have different addresses for Office of Admission and Office of Financial Aid?
Should I just put everything into 1 envelope and send everything to Bates (2 Andrews Road)
Or must I send in the application form separately from the Finaid documents?

outside the envelope, what should I put? Like applicant’s name? address? contact?

and how do we know whether the school has received or not?

According to their website ([Bates College](http://www.bates.edu)) financial aid information should be mailed to:

Required materials (with the exception of the PROFILE, FAFSA and Noncustodial PROFILE applications) should be mailed to the Student Financial Services Office at 44 Mountain Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04240

The admissions address (again on the website) is:
Bates College
2 Andrews Rd.
Lewiston, Maine 04240-6028 USA
207-786-6255 (General Information)
207-786-6254 (Emergencies)

Spend some time on their website there is a ton of information and a fairly good search tool.

I imagine most people don’t know the information. I know that my D submitted everything on-line last year so I didn’t know the snail mail address either and needed to look it up.

thank you, rochestermom
but sorry, I’m really confused of these 3 addresses:
2 andrews road
23 campus avenue
44 mountain avenue
which address accords with which office?
thanks a lot

I’m very anxious right now.
it’s alr been 2 weeks since I clicked the ‘submit’ button but the school has not replied or given me any confirmation yet…
I’ve also checked the Fedex mail and it confirmed that my package to Bates was delivered…
why the school has not emailed me yet??
anyone has an experience in this? how long does the office usually take to receive and process the application?

Does anyone know how Bates handles Early Decision acceptance notifications?

Are the decisions posted online at, for example, 5 pm on Dec 15? Do they send letters to arrive by Dec 15? Do the notifications roll in over the month between Nov 15 and Dec 15?

Also, any idea if athletic recruits or other applicants who may have been pursued by the arts or music dept ever get early phone calls from those faculty members, before the official notification? Thanks.

gtp2009: D was accepted ED last year. If they do the same thing this year there will be a small postal package/letter priority mail I think that you will receive about Dec. 15th if you get in.

hbrad8002 - Bates doesn’t acknowledge the receipt of the information. If you are really worried about something contact (via phone or email) the admissions person for your area. They should be able to tell you if all is well. I don’t remember D hearing anything last year after submittal until she got the acceptance letter in mid December.

we did receive a letter in the mail to confirm that Bates has the application. they also give you a code to get on a site to follow updates on your application process

yea, i just got it yesterday.
everything has been received… but there’s a line i didnt understand
i’m applying for finaid and the site says…“please check your financial aid status with your parents”???
