how to send in transcripts from other colleges

So I learned today that my counselor won't be able to submit my college transcripts on my behalf.

I have a transcript from another high school, a community college, and the U of Washington to submit. What do I need to do to make sure that they get to the right people? Can I just order them to "MIT" ? Or do I need to do address them to someone in particular? Basically, how can I make sure that these transcripts are added to my admissions file?

You should order an official transcript to be sent from the college you attended. I believe the address you should send them to is

Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Admissions Office
77 Massachusetts Ave, Room 10-100
Cambridge, MA 02139

Thank you so much! I am/was freaking out.

Don’t freak out! Everything is okay.

If you want to know what real freaking out is, you should try filling out your application with a TYPEWRITER.

I think I filled mine out in the slightly-more-next-gen way: I typed it all in Word, then played with the spacing until it would print properly in the blanks on the application.

Terrifying.

Don’t freak out about the extra transcripts.

There’s a space to put the classes on your app…I took college classes, forgot to send the transcripts (but recorded them in the space), and still got in EA this year.

Yay! I arranged it so they will definitely (however definite that really is) be postmarked by the 31st of December. Thanks for the help everyone!
