How to send letter of recs?

<p>I know that Stanford has specific mailing labels and require a 9x12 envelope, but other than that, I haven't encountered any other schools on my list that require mailing labels, etc.</p>

<p>If they do not have a specific requirement, is it suggested that I still have a 9x12 envelope?</p>

<p>Also, how should I label the envelope (other than the basic address, name, etc. needed)? Do I need to write down RE: Teacher Recommendation or something along the lines of that?</p>

<p>S is the only school I’ve encountered that requires a specific size envelope. If not specified, 9x12 or any other large envelop where you don’t have to fold your papers will be fine. </p>

<p>Some of the other schools do provide mailing labels that you can print out, but they are more to help you out rather than a requirement.</p>

<p>You don’t have to write down anything else, but I think it’s nice to do a RE: xx.</p>
