How to Send Proof of Citizenship

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I renewed my passport and updated my social security status after receiving requests from colleges and FAFSFA for proof of U.S. citizenship. I now have to send a copy of my passport to all colleges I've applied to but I do not know the best method of doing so. Have any of you been in a similar situation? I believe that faxing the document will be quickest, but should I attach some special form (a note or simply identification information)? Would you recommend e-mail submission instead? </p>

<p>Pick up the phone, and call them. Ask if an email with a scan of the photo page of your passport will do, or if they’d prefer a fax, or for you to mail in a photocopy.</p>
