How to show business passion?

I'm interested in business for the future, however, I was unable to take DECA or Academy of Finance next year due to scheduling conficts. The only other business related thing my school offers is BPA. What else can I do to show that I have a passion for business?

Create an account on a stock simulation game, then include your 1500% increase portfolio (stocks only, options are for newbs) in your application.

On a more serious note. You can try to create your own business. The only problem is getting the money to start one. I have a friend who started a shirt designing business called EuNeekz (yoo-neekz). His dad is super rich though.

Yea, I’m not that much help.

haha, well im not super rich and can’t randomly get money to start my own business. so that could possibly be a problem. :).

any other realistic suggestions?

Start your own business…
I’m not kidding. I’m planning on possible starting one this summer and a friend of mine who is at MIT now started his own electronics business junior/senior year.
And you don’t need money to start your own business. Do you do web design? Can you sell papers/documents/plans/instructions for something? This can all be done online - for free. In fact, you’ll probably start making some money off of it…

Actually in about 7th/8th grade I made a bunch of computer games and I posted them on a website for sale (with source code included). It was more of a test, and I never intended anyone to even look at the page, let alone buy anything (it was a FreeWebs account). But about a week later, someone tried to purchase a game. I didn’t take his money, but I gave him the game and then took the website down until I could actually make a serious business (like this summer…)

im electronically ■■■■■■■■ aka i can’t do anything on the computer, like selling sites or computer games. lol.

Why don’t you start writing your own magazine about something you really enjoy? You can start small (just you) and deliver it to friends/relatives (but they have to pay!). Then bring in (aka hire) some friends to do additional reporting. You’ll get experience setting up a business and managing people…

im not into writing. lol. im a pretty picky person.

Sooo… what are your interests? That could help us help you…

If you have no interests, then stop worrying about running a business and/or getting business experience. Find something that interests you and then find a business internship in that field…

Be the middle man for an import-export business. This is pretty much business and accounting in its purest form. You’ll need at least a thousand dollars and a garage for storage.

^ sounds sketchy to the extreme =P

im interested in sports, debate, marketing, finance, math, and clothes.

Well webdesign would REALLY help you right now (you should probably learn it - it is VERY easy, especially with Dreamweaver). But why don’t you create a business where you work as a marketing consultant? Offer to help local small businesses advertise or even rearrange their store?
