How to "show interest" ?

I know that applying ED would help but I applied to another school and I was rejected. I also know that visiting the campus would help, but I am an international so I don't have that option. How can I show Northwestern that they are my top choice?

The only way to show NU that the school is your top choice is to apply Early Decision.

In Regular Decision there is no way for them to know if they accept you, you will accept their offer.

At the end of December, there is very little you can do to enhance your application.

I don’t know if the admissions committee looks at application “received” time/dates during the admission process, but an app received last minute could be a signal to them that they are lower on your priority list than other schools. Of course, it could be indicative of laziness or procrastination or even an overachiever who had very little spare time during the school year. Still, overachievers have to have good time management skills to be successful in college.

Interview, visit campus, email the admissions office, write a good supplement essay
