How to Show My Passions

I'm a high school sophomore, and I'm trying to figure out how to show my passions through my extracurriculars.

I'm interested in the environmental/wildlife preservation, breast cancer research/prevention, art, writing, and feminism.

I'm going to try and become a volunteer at a breast cancer organization, and participate as a volunteer at walks and fundraisers, and I'm also going to volunteer at beach cleanups and maybe try getting an internship at an environmental non-profit or at a feminist photography company.

But do you have advice on how to show one's passions through extracurriculars other than just participating in community service?

Since I love art as well as the environment, I was thinking about maybe combining the two, and making artwork of endangered wildlife to raise awareness about endangered species, and using the money made on sales to donate to an organization that's devoted to preserving wildlife.

I think a great way to show passions would be to start a club/organization at your school. I don’t know the requirements at your school but at mine you can just go to the activity office and ask for a charter and get a bunch of signatures. You (the club) could organize events that promote a lot of things that you mentioned, like environmental preservation and so on. It would be a good way for you to form networks with people at your school who share your interests.
