How to solve this math problem?

In the xy-plane, line L has equation
y=1/4(x)+3, and line m has equation y=1/2(x)+b. If the lines intersect at the point with coordinates (t,11/5), what is the value of b?

Help will be appreciated.

Anyone?..

I get 19/5, but it’s possible there’s a careless error in my scribbled calculations.

First, substitute into the first equation.

11/5 = 1/4(t) + 3
solve for t = -16/5

Then, substitute into the second equation.

11/4 = 1/2(-16/5) + b
solve for b = 19/5

Thank you so much! Now I see why you substituted y for 11/5. The answer is 1/2 though. But your approach was right, you just made a little miscalculation.
