How to spend my junior year summer??

Hi! I'm currently a junior and soon to be senior and everyone keeps telling me how crucial this year's summer is for me. I originally planned to attend a summer program but I just got the email that I was not accepted... :(
So now I'm trumped. I don't know what else to do with my summer!

I have a job at a chemistry lab that I will continue to work at over the summer, I applied to be a Kaiser volunteer but I won't hear back from them until July, and I plan to continue volunteering at a local animal shelter as I have been for a while.

But as someone who is aiming for top UCs and perhaps even Stanford, I feel like these things are not enough to stand out :(

I'm thinking of enrolling in community college classes if it's not too late, but even that I don't know how or what I should take. I'm not even sure if that will do any good in the first place!

As a first generation from Korea, neither my family nor I am very much informed in this area...lol

I'll also be prepping for my SAT and SAT II tests over summer as well, but I really want to find something I can do to make me stand out!

Thank you! :D

Go ahead and enroll in community college courses

I’m also planning on taking a class at the CC this summer too
