Someone here once said in an off-hand comment that if you didn't find your EC niche then you should just create it. In retrospective, twas brilliant advice. How does one go about submitting a proposal for a club? A student publication to be exact.

So each kind of student club–i.e. pre professional, publication, social service, etc. has a different application process.

The most basic requirement for each of them is that they don’t overlap with the goals of others. I think you might need to have an unofficial group in action already–with a minimum number of members before your proposal is reviewed–although this may not be true of a publication

^^this may provide some insight, it’s the link to the Activities Board at Columbia, I don’t know if you looked it up already, but if it’s not helpful, email the ABC president

Yea the ABC is the one to go to. If you’re planning on doing anything art related, you can ask the Art Initiative to give you funding as well tho but you still need to be recognized by the ABC (I think)
