Hello, this is my first time on College Confidential and I am going to become a rising junior and I need some tips to stay motivated when studying for this test when I take it in October. I always seem to be distracted by the thought of playing video games and when I use my laptop; all I do is drift off onto YouTube. My score is very low at the moment and I really want to improve before taking the test in October. Thanks and sorry about the bad grammar.

Just tell yourself,“Hey, if I play off now, chances are, I probably will stuck into a random college. My parents will be disappointed in me. This should not happen!”
Are you desperate with your score? If yes, then you should admonish yourself whenever you click on Youtube or logging in to a game.
Think of the kids at 3rd world countries, say, India, according to the Time magazine, 2 girls of age 12 and 14 were gangraped last month. Don’t you think someone need to fix this problem? You should quit playing all the games or listening to music, study SAT and ACT. When you get a good score or so, you might get into a selective college, and when you have enough finances, give away some for the needy peoples in third world countries who’s actually suffering. Just remind yourself, “I am doing these prepping stuff for not just me, but billions of other people who will need my help in the future.”
Okay, I’d better stop rambling… Good luck! God bless you!

If you need help with math, try the red book. You WILL get a 36 after solve all the problems here, BUT do NOT do chapter 13, it’s just the calculus stuff that you don’t need for SAT/ACT.

Go to a library, Barnes or whatever, a quiet place. Go with studious friends who are generally hard working or at least positive and serious when it comes to stuff like that.
