How to stop being lazy?

just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on laziness. Recently i've been so lazy, like not doing homework, not getting involved in any of my extracurrics, etc, etc. Its just so weird for me, cause mere months ago i was like really active and highly motivated and such.

Smoke less weed.

Other than your schoolwork, do you really, truly need to do all of that stuff? Why not take a little vacation from the ECs and just concentrate on homework for a while. You might just be a bit burned out.

If you can’t even drag yourself out of bed to do the homework, talk to parents about getting a medical check up, and with your counselor or another adult who you trust about getting yourself screened for depression. Lack of energy can have both physical and psychological causes.

Wishing you all the best.

Same thing happened to me. Ever since I finished all my college applications, I’ve been more and more unmotivated. Not senioritis and a disregard of responsibility, but more of a loss of a sense of purpose in life in general. I say that you should get enough sleep, go out and have fun. Then you’ll realize that you need to do your work. THat sort of worked for me, but I ended up having too much fun.

Based off of Cal Newport’s description of deep procrastination, I’m not surprised that many seniors really don’t care anymore.

We are sick off pointless high school BS.

Since I sent in my college apps, I pretty much stopped caring about school and my ECs. But that’s alright, because I am still somehow pulling off mostly As.

Same!! I have senioritis, and as it is not second semester yet, this senioritis is really inconvenient. I am just so tired of all the **** that defines high school. I’m trying not be too hard on myself, but I am panicking cus i still have 8 supplements to do!!!
