Title speaks for itself.

Help!!!

The next C will most likely help you.

more like the next 89.999% will help you.

I'll think about it tomorrow.

smack ureself and then say that for every B u get, u ll cut ure wrists 10 times... that ll get u back on track!

Mmh, who knows? Ask again later...

But really, coffee, this site, and yelling at myself, plus the occasional threat, or bribe to myself. Hehe, it's pretty sad. ^_^;

Wait until tomorrow and it will be gone, but mill tomorrow ever come?

lol i hope u guys are all jokin

but damn i waste so much time doing nothing.. including CC

Write things down. Schedule HW time. doesn't need to be directly after school, but say something like "3 PM - 4 PM, the only way im leaving my room is if it is on fire (assuming you do your hw while in it)" just form anti-procrastination habits. and don't check blogs and CC every 5 minutes. limit yourself to once an hour or something. its all about will power :P

Study at the library or Starbucks (seems to help my D (but I WAS checking the thread for more ideas).

Just make a list of all the things you need to do for the week. If something else comes up, that also goes on the list. I recommend a notebook. When you have FINISHED each item, cross it off. When you're doing homework, turn the computer OFF, or do it at the kitchen table rather than at the computer desk.

I also like to set x amount of time for homework before I start. For instance, I'll take a look at all my math problems and say, "This will take me 35 minutes to finish." Then set a timer and go.

Have a calendar with all deadline in your room may help?

Simple, here is my strategy:

Everytime I try to slack off or put things off, I think to myself: "What would a Harvard student do?"

Would a Harvard student choose to play videogames or study for the SATs? By thinking of something great, it motivates you to doing your best too.

^That only works if you're Asian.

i'm pretty sure that harvard's got some hardcore gamers in their mix. diversity, you know.

Procrastination is something that I have sadly struggled with my entire life. After trying to commit myself to working harder, I found myself on this site. Unfortunately for me, I can't be cured.

^lol yea same here

Procrastination has not been hurting my grades. Procrastination has been making me stressed and sleep deprived. But this does not culminate into one huge moment of self realization, barring the possibility of some disease or emotional breakdown, which I don't think will happen. So how do I motivate myself? I'm thinking I could cut off my internet access. That's really the only way. Limit it to 1 hr- but the only way I could do that is to revert to a dial-up plan, which would make watching music videos, participating in forums, really slow. But on the other hand, isn't that positive?

Well, its complicated really. When I don't do work, I feel that I'm wasting my life, and am mad at myself for procrastinating. On the other hand, before I get to actual work, I deliberate on the pointlessness and shortness of life and get back to not doing my work.

i usually make a list.
i also developed a "no binder tolerance" method.
i take out all the papers in the side of my binder and i tell myself "they don't get the privilege to go inside again until they're COMPLETELY done."
it works for me :)
and also, when i'm procrastinating a lot, i just repeat my dream school in my head 5 times, and then i feel encouraged to do my hw.
