Here is my situation. I go to a korean SAT prep(called ELite), but their material seems useless. they give us packets that are of no use. THe only good thing is that they have good practice tests.
I decided that i would do the practice tests every week, and follow the routine below:

I have these following books:

Barron's CR WB
Barron's Math WB
Barron's Witing WB
Barron's 2400
Blue book
PR 11 practice tests
THe underground SAT book

My plan:
-TO do 1 practice section for math, CR, and writing 3 days a week from the barron's workbooks
-TO do 1 real real practice section from blue book and PR once a week
-To read stratagies form the UNderground SAT book

IS THIS A GOOD PLAN TO STUDY WITH?
is this good enough to get me a 2100?
Also, are there anybook u guys think I should add to this list?
how do u guys study?

ANY COMMENTS ARE WELCOME

THX

bump.................

I got a perfect score on the SAT and I know a lot of these prep books. My advice to you is to set aside every single prep book that is not the Blue Book. Go through the Blue Book methodically, doing as many problems as you can, and you will probably not even have time to get to those other prep books (which are useless compared to the Blue Book). I did all 11 PR Practice tests...utter waste of time and energy. I mean, they're good math and grammar practice, but not something you should do in place of the Blue Book. The Blue Book surprisingly has really good explanations and you know that everything in it is going to be relevant (since it's made by College board).

Other advice: don't use the College Board practice tests as practice tests. That will waste precious practice problems. To maximize their value, break up each test into practice problem sets. Work through each problem and check your answer, making sure you know how to do each one. You won't get a "score" if you break up the practice tests this way but the scores are pretty useless anyway. I always got practice test scores in the 2200s--pretty inaccurate.

MallomarCookie:

I am afraid that if i use all the practice tests in the blue book, I won't have any left. how many sections would u recommend me to do every week. Also, do u think the barron's 2400 book and the underground SAT book are good books to study stratgies

THX

P.S. do u think the online course is good?

I'm taking Mallomar Cookie's advice & just doing the blue book first and making sure why I got each problem wrong & go over the ones I got right too.

The online course has 6 practice tests believe, so if you don't have any left, you could always print them out & use those. (That's what I'm doing)

I have Barron's math workbook too..I did a lot of the problems but it's way harder than the questions in the blue book. I'm thinking of just going over the lessons for each chapter the week before the test.

WHat exactly does the "up ur score the underground method" do? is it of any help?

What do you mean, "have any left"? You don't need full practice tests...and there is always the online one

would u recommend that i do a section a day, and just review what i get wrong?

unknown4ever...hagwon's aren't really as helpful as people might think. how have you been scoring on elite's practice tests?

about in the high 1800s. 1870-1880s

are your scores pretty even or is there a huge gap in one of the three sections? I think a 2100 is definately within your range if you study hard enough.

THe thing is, my scores in each section keep fluctuating. One time I get a high reading score, other times iget a high writing score. Also, I don't know why I can't get above a 650 in math. I am a math and science guy. What plan would u recommend?

Well at least you know that you're capable of high reading/writing scores. I'd focus more on math to figure out what concepts you're missing (or if you're making a bunch of calculation errors). Your plan in the first post sounds good, but I think it's a bit overkill-ish so you could slow it down a bit.
