How to submit letters of recommendation via Common App?

<p>I'm applying to approximately 6 schools using the Common App. They all require 2 Letters of Recommendations. When my teachers write the letters do they submit them directly to CA? Or do they need to mail them in? They are writing different letters for each school (pretty much the same, but addressed to different people) so how do I differentiate which letter is for which school? Does the site do that?</p>

<p>Pretty much I'm really confused, can anyone whose done it before walk me through the process of submitting Letters of Rec.?</p>

<p>Teachers just upload it I think. I’m curious as well.</p>

<p>What if I ask teachers to write me letters and they send them and I decide not to apply to that college? The school wouldn’t care right? I’m still trying to narrow down my list and I’m thinking of asking my teachers to write to all of them on my list even though I don’t want to apply to ALL because it costs too much money, I just haven’t narrowed it down yet and probably won’t until after I visit them next month.</p>

<p>hmm, they just upload the letters to the common app. So if you decide not to apply to a certain college you can just delete that college of your list. If that school had a specific recommendation written for it, that recommendation will be deleted. The rest of your recs will be intact.</p>
