Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I couldn’t find anything on the SSAT SAO website and their offices are currently closed.
I can’t seem to find an option to submit personal or special interest recommendations via SAO, even though several of the schools I’m applying to require them. SAO only gives me the options to send math, English, and counselor recommendation requests.
Am I missing something here?
I used my parent’s account for applications as I was the primary organizer for all of my applications. Upon logging in through your parent’s account click on the tab that says apply. DO NOT click on any of the specific schools. Once you are on that page, you should see a grey column on the right of the screen that is titled, “2018 Standard Application Forms,” as you scroll down the page (or not if you are using a really large screen), you should see a sub-heading titled, “REQUEST FORMS FROM OTHERS,” under that you should see a list of recommendations and transcript requests, you should, theoretically, find the personal recommendation and special interest recommendation in that list, it was after the principal/councelor recommendation for me. From there you should be able to click a button and send a request to your recommender by entering their email.
If you do not see that, I would suggest looking under the blue tabs that say, “Show x School-Specific Item(s) and More Details,” to see if you can find the documents there.
If it is still not there, I would strongly suggest that you contact the schools to see if they have a PDF or printable form that you can print out and give (or email) to your recommender and return the form to you to email to the school itself or mail it to the school directly
