Are transcripts automatically a part of the school report that the counselor sends in via common app?
I have tried to ask my counselor over the last few days but I go to a large public school with only one college counselor and she is super busy apparently.
Hold on a second. A school report may not include a transcript with the individual grades and list of courses taken. You should ask your school for thetranscript submission policy. It may be sent through a third party service or from your high school by mail directly even you submit the application on CommonApp.
Sorry if I was unclear. Yes, they may (or may not} be sent at different times, but the point is, that it is the school’s responsibility to send - not the student’s. It’s very unlikely that this is the GC’s first rodeo, so I am sure s/he knows what to do. The OP can certainly ask the GC for confirmation, but should be prepared for a heavy eye roll. 8-|
In my D’s school that use Parchment to submit transcript, it is indeed the students’ responsibility to order the transcripts to be submitted to college. The school only provide information on how to set up a Parchment account and gives the instruction to the student how to verify and submit transcript.
