Apologies if this is a dumb question to ask but....

I'm a Malaysian student (i.e. international and foreign) looking to transfer from my home country here to USC. Problem is, I have no idea how to submit my academic records.

The USC site says that I have to get the school to submit it for me, but my institution is unable to. So do I send scanned copies by email or do I send it by mail? And if it's the latter, what about records that I only have one copy of? I can't send off the original all the way to the States.

Any help is appreciated.

You must submit official transcripts so, no, scanned copies are not acceptable. Request official, sealed transcripts from your current school. If they are unable to send them directly to USC, have them sent to you and you send them on to USC within another outer envelope - do NOT open them or they become unofficial. Send them sealed by your current institution.

Note: There is usually a fee associated with obtaining official transcripts.

Thanks for the quick reply,

Does this apply for my high-school transcript as well? Do I have to seek out my old high school and request for a sealed copy of my final results?

Also, is this the address that I send to:
**USC Office of Admission
Undergraduate
University Park Campus
Los Angeles, CA
90089-0911 **

How will USC know which transcript matches which application, if I might ask?

Yes, you must submit official high school transcripts as well. Please be sure to check the Transfer Application Checklist here: [Transfer Planning - USC Undergraduate Admission](http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/apply/trans_application.html) .

Yes, that is the correct address for the Office of Admission.

To match transcripts with applications: Typically the name and birthdate are matched. If you are having the official transcripts sent to you and then sending them on you can also write your USC ID and/or your Common App ID along with your name on the outside of the envelope.

Alright, thank you!
