How to talk to girls in class?

what do i say to get a conversation going? I try but it usually ends within 3 minutes, and then there is this awkward silence.

The search button is your friend. Go look for one of the 3,000 other threads that have already been created on this topic. There is a ton of “advice” on there.

OP seems kind of pathetic and helpless. I don’t think he’s really good at using the internet either, so I’ll just do the work for him:

nobody bump this

Girls really like to be randomly screamed at and mercilessly poked with sharp objects.

So…maybe you should get on that.

Oh my god, just ask girls about themselves. People * love * talking about themselves, and from there you can see if there are any common interests and potential for further relationship developments.

do not just ask her questions…

I was actually sitting in the Library trying to study today when some guy and girl were talking at the table next to me. They obviously just met or whatever and he was trying so hard it was painful. He asked her every possible question about her interests, family, school, religion, life plans and a bunch of other ■■■■■■■■ stuff. He was basically interviewing her. And everything that came out of her mouth he would agree with, and praise and try to sound smart.

Did he keep the conversation going straight for about 2hrs? Yes.
Was she contemplating slitting her wrists with her mechanical pencil under the table? More than likely.

ROFL, well, obviously he shouldn’t be interviewing her! Just ask a question, chat about the topic she brings up, relate it to yourself…you know, have a normal conversation.

Watch non-awkward people having a conversation and you should get the idea. There’s only so much we can describe over the internet.
