How to transfer to USC??

I’ve been obsessed with USC for years. I got in my senior year but could not afford to attend. I am now finishing up my freshmen year at a school that offered me a full ride (I hate everything about it except for the city it is located in, terrible academics, crumbling infrastructure, outdated materials etc etc) I just know I’m going to graduate without the tools I need to succeed in this world. I just wanted more information about the transfer process. Specifically with the common app because it is extremely geared towards high school students (ie I have to list my high school and high school counselor??). If you have any insight it would be much appreciated. Attending USC is all I think about. Not committing at the end of my senior year is the biggest regret of my life.

On the other hand, am I overthinking this? Should I just continue my studies and graduate debt free? Is the undergrad college I attend that important?

Try to take it easy, I know it’s hard to not dwell on decisions that affect your future so drastically, but I would try to consider whether you would want to pursue attending USC for grad school. They have AMAZING grad programs and getting an undergrad degree for free not only looks great on paper as an applicant to a graduate program but it will also make you more grateful for the academia you will be immersed in.

If you strongly want to transfer there, you can always do the CC route. Go to community college for 1 to 2 years, depending on how many of your units transfer, and apply to whatever major interests you most. You might have preference for getting admitted since you were admitted from high school right away. Good luck! @Jessdilla2015
