How to transfer

How do you officially transfer out of an university?

Apply at other schools, and once you're accepted, send the deposit and let your current school know you will not be attending next semester. All schools have some sort of withdrawal process.

Or you could just leave and not pay, but I don't think that'll go over well.

And, then, after following Twenty8's process, you will have your final transcript sent to the new school. Their transfer office/registrar's office will evaluate your coursework and award credit at the new school for the equivalent courses. There may be some courses that don't transfer; some schools don't give credit for Pass/Fail (or require a written verification that you had at least a C-level grade); some may have different policies re AP credit if you have any, etc. etc. But those are the details, which can all be worked out.
