What is the right way to update the class rank information and verify they get it right? Submitting a new transcript might not be enough, and you want to make it sure they capture the change, if the new rank also changes the basis for admission from Review to Academic or from Academic to Top 10%.
You send in the transcript - there is a form you attach https://admissions.tamu.edu/pdfs/Doc_ID_Sheets.aspx You can check the transcipt & Other box then write in your message ( eg. updated Class Rank to – %). On a side note, top 10% and academic admits result in the same decision: automatic admission. Academic admits can be top 10% as well.
