<p>You go into the fafsa.ed.gov site, click on… open a filed FAFSA or correct a filed FAFSA… I don’t remember the exact words, click on the correct year, I assume 2008-2009, fill in the required blanks, get to the place where you can correct or update whatever you need to do, fill it in, re-sign it, and submit it. It will come back with a new transaction number and a new SAR in a few days. It’s pretty easy. However, there are certain fields that will not be able to be updated or corrected. In that case, you have to go through other processes, and I would suggest you call FAFSA for clarification. If it’s just income numbers, then you should have no problem through the corrections site. If you made a mistake on SS#, it’s a bigger hassle.</p>
