My D is preparing for the new AP tests to be taken at home. She is doing an assignment through college board that she thinks will resemble the actual test. In the practice, she is given a question to answer and not able to move on until she uploads her work (takes a picture) within 5 minutes. She has a school issued chromebook which she says does not give a clear picture. She is trying to take a picture from my phone (apple 8) but it was taking too long. Any advice on how this can work or if she is understanding it correctly that she needs to upload something within 5 minutes on the actual test day. She gave up and is going to scan her work today, but she doesn’t think that is an acceptable option for the actual test. I’m not sure that taking a picture from my phone is an acceptable option either. Does anyone understand this? Thank you.
Anyone? This has to be a problem for AP test takers all across the US. I think it is an internet connectivity problem-so many using internet in the neighborhood now that people working from home and students online at home. I am going to email school AP coordinator and her teachers, but I’m thinking a lot of students will have problems on AP testing day and wondering what is being advised.
I just saw this:

@pumpkinpi27 Thanks! I think I saw this, but some of our problem may be slow internet speed? She will be practicing this week with the demo. My big concern is what if our internet decides to be slow that day. I just tried to attached a scanned picture to an email and it took way longer than 5 minutes.
I think that you can take the test from a phone, so that you can upload the image directly from a phone
Oh, and you can also upload Word Documents (not sure about that on Chromebook) and pdfs instead of photos. Lastly, copy and pasting is allowed too.
@pumpkinpi27 Thank you?I am just hoping we have a good internet connection on test day since she only has 5 minutes to send written work and sometimes our connection goes right through and other times it can take much longer than 5 minutes.
