How to Use National Merit Corp. College Plans Reporting Service?

the website is www.collegeplans.org, but you need the ID and Password from the letter.
You should contact the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for help.

what if i am undecided?? is that an option?

and is the consensus to generally choose schools that have a penchant for national merit kids?

and if it helps i will be NMSF, rather than commended.

help, please!

GS will (most probably) be a National Merit Finalist
(Thinking PSAT scores, SAT scores, great grades and (forthcoming) great teacher rec.)

Is there a link to schools that would be partial to NMF with $$?

Although Ivies are on his list - I think that sending to schools that are partial to ‘demonstrated interest’ would be a help.

FYI - We are hoping for a Questbridge ‘match’ - of the schools on the Questbridge list, we were thinking of Rice and Pomona?

Comments would be appreciated…

here is a listing of where NMF’s matriculated in 2007, and the # sponsored by each college.
Many of the “top” colleges[ HYPS]do NOT sponsor NMF’s[ attending students don’t receive the $2000 scholarship] in part because they don’t need to attract top students. That does not mean they don’t care if an applicant is a NMF, but seniors might not want to “waste” a notification on a college that does not sponsor a NMF, should they be accepted.

“what if i am undecided?? is that an option?”
You don’t have to notify NM who your final 1st choice is until after you know where you will be to college. The deadline is mid May
