My school is now on winter vacation… I updated my colleges list right before the break, but it still says that initial materials are not send, pending, it just says pending.
My school will be back in work from Jan 11st.
Do you think universities would let me slide…?
I would call the guidance office this morning. School may be closed, but there’s a chance that the college placement people are working.
Naviance gets updated by the people in guidance. There’s a chance that they simply didn’t get around to updating because of the volume of late applications they got.
Beyond that, there’s nothing you can do. Your materials may be at the bottom of a huge pile of apps that weren’t quite as late as yours.
When my daughter requested that her materials be sent, Naviance said pending for about a week. I think it took her guidance office that long to process the request. It doesn’t happen automatically. A person actually has to do something.
Our school has a manual step that takes place when you submit a transcript request. It moves the school from your “schools I’m interested in” list to “schools I applied to” list once the transcript goes out.
