<p>Parallelism, alliteration, antithesis, diction, syntax, etc... how do you use these words in an rhetorical analysis essay to tie back to the thesis, not just listing them, because obviously that doesn't do much. Basically, what could I write about them... should I say why the author uses these?</p>

<p>Pull out quotes from the text and write in your essay why the author uses these types of syntax. You can say what type it is like parallelism or antithesis, but don’t stop there. Try to go beyond the text. I can’t really explain it.</p>
