How to utterly destroy your social life...

get an apartment & get a faraway job that takes 2+ hours of commuting for the weekend...

Oh yeah, and automatically head to the library to study because your apartment is beginning to look like a private ward in an insane asylum...

... Just thought I'd share that....

And you are a freshman?

yup! unfortunately, that adds another negative factor to the list!... :p

I have to agree. It seems like if you don't live in the Units you are missing out. And if you don't live on the "on-campus" housing you miss out more. But you know, it's still possible to be social.

There is hope. :)

Thanks, :D ... kinda like a very dim light at the end of the tunnel, though...:o lol

So, what's your plan of action, allegretto88?

hmm... I guess a passive approach would best suit me, since I'm already settled into this lifeless regime... :p

No!!!! It's the second week of school, c'mon! :)

Psh I'm a transfer commuting from the Peninsula (i.e. south of San Francisco), so where do I stand? :o

Ucbhi, let us mourn our lives together... lol...hehe, in fact I work in Millbrae every weekend, but that's still better than commuting every day?! :p wow, when do you have to leave every day?!!

Aww, thanks DRab... I'll try my best :D

I live in San Bruno, which is right next to Millbrae so that's kind of coincidental. I take BART to an 8am section MWF, waking up at 5am to shower and park at BART by 6:40. Then around 7:45 I walk straight up the grade from the crescent to Sather to get to Evans. So yes, let's mourn together, cuz I know I'm definitely feeling the pain :o Oh well we can be commuter buddies I guess :p

Nice way to save money. Dorms and apartments are expensive as heck.

"Cardinalfocused intends to pay you a visit at Columbia law "

Hahaha. I laughed. Shiboing Boing is so cute when he bashes Berkeley.
