I got accepted into NYU on Early Decision about two weeks ago, and I filed the CSS and FAFSA forms. However, when I look onto NYU’s Albert site, it says the following:
“Select the appropriate aid year above to view your award information. If the aid year is not activated, your award information has yet to be determined.”
My parents are kinda breathing down my neck about all this, and I was wondering when I should actually be able to see the aid offered to me. I remember seeing a $12,000 scholarship for the college in one of the earlier forms I saw, but I can’t seem to find it again, and it doesn’t show up on the Albert thing.
Any help would be immensely appreciated.
Did you file your financial aid forms before the deadline. Did you run the net price calculator in order to get some idea as how much nyu expects your family to oay
Call the school on Tuesday and let them talk you through it
Yeah, I filed all the financial aid forms well before the deadline.
The only problem I can think of is me not being 18 even though I checked the box to send my name to Selective Service.
Would that possibly prevent me from viewing my aid?
@BroteinSupreme You are aware that the cost of attendance (COA) for NYU is around $73,000 per year?
I’m not sure what your parents’ financial situation is, but this expense of close to $300,000 (and that’s if you graduate in 4 years, and only about 80% do from NYU). Please talk to your family about what they can and cannot afford to pay.
A 12,000 deducted off of 73,000 doesn’t really seem like much to me.
