How to wait patiently without going crazy?

Okay so I know many of you finished all of your college applications. Now , how do you guys wait patiently for decisions to come? What do you guys do to keep your mind off this college process now that it is over? I find waiting really torturous, nerve wreaking and exciting all at the same time. Lets share our thoughts and advice to lessen our pain. :)

I don’t start applying until next year, but from what I can tell you CAN’T do anything to calm down- you kinda waste away until March, that’s why senioritis happens I guess.

I think i am already having senioritis and i can’t seem to put myself together during school. My teachers are horrible and i don’t learn anything at alll even though I am only taking 3-4 academic classes which are not even rigorous at all. maybe like 2 but other wise, it is a joke. And this college process is making me and everyone crazy.

It doesn’t really matter where you go to college.

^lol why are you on CC if you believe that?

I just try to focus on one thing at a time…

Finishing the last of my college apps by January 15.

INAUGURATION!! (If all goes well…)

And then decisions will start to come…

I’ve just been hanging out with my friends and enjoying life, not caring about school or studying at all. I write something for my blog when I feel philosophical, argue with other people when I feel political, and just relax and “chill” when I don’t want to think.

Just surrendering to impulses; what more does one need?

^Where are you applying? You don’t want your grades to slip.

Lol my grades will be fine; even in “college level” AP Classes, our teachers baby us enough that I can pull off low 90’s studying the night before. As for where I’m applying, it’s the usual for this site: few Ivies (Cornell, Princeton, Harvard), UChicago, CMU, Tufts, UMich, and MIT, cause I got into my safety early.

I keep busy. Between now and then, I have jazz band, and a ****ton of work. This year is big for APs for me; I could get out of quite a few required classes/electives. So I want to do that.
Also, my birthday is in March, so that’s fun!

I will be preparing for my Academic Decathlon speech, interview, and essay competition which is on like Jan 18. I also need to get ready for Forensics speech qualifiers and get my novices ready for debate qualifiers at the end of the month. That should keep me busy for now :)
