Set your alarm for 15 minutes before you want to get up and press snooze a couple times. It tricks your body into thinking you’ve gotten more sleep.

Sorry that you have to get up at 6:30. I won’t be getting up til at least 8!

(Too bad I’m getting up at 7:30 M-F right now for my summer class. That blows big time).

I have this really loud obnoxious alarm clock. It scares me half to death and I always wake up thinking that the house is on fire. The adrenaline keeps me awake :P

9 was the earliest class I had so far in college.

The first week or so, I’d take a shower, grab some breakfast, then go to class. A few weeks in, I was just rolling out of bed at 8:50, throwing on some shorts and a shirt, and then dragging myself to class. Then I’d go grab breakfast, and then take a shower, and then hit up my 11 class.

The getting up early and doing stuff before class will probably go out the window with it being that early.

If you get enough sleep the night before, then you’ll eventually get used to waking up to a schedule. Do it enough and you won’t need an alarm to get up at 630am.

This is one part of going back to school I’m not looking forward to. Currently, I wake up between 10 and 12 each day, but I don’t go to bed until 1 or 2 AM due to my internship. It starts at 1 or 2 in the afternoon and goes until 11:30-midnight most nights.

I find if I HAVE to be up in the morning, I wake up 10-15 minutes before my alarm clock goes off. For classes, that normally isn’t the case. It’s my goal to wake up at 6 this fall to go work out 4 days a week… we’ll see.

One thing I’ve found that’s helped me is I change my ringtone for my alarm about once a month or so. I had a time where I’d sleep right through the alarm because I was used to it. And I normally use the completely annoying pre-sets in the phone!

I wake up at 4a for crew every morning. No coffee, nothing. At first it was hard as all heck, but after a while I’d be happy to wake up–you feel fresher and less crusty in the morning.

Just set an alarm and discipline yourself. After three weeks, it’ll be easy.
