<p>I need to withdraw from BUS-A100 "Basic Accounting Skills" because my midterm grade was attrocious and even if I aced the final I would not pass the class.
I went to Onestart and started to use the eDrop application to do it, but eDrop didn't seem legtimate to me and I felt like i was on the wrong site as it said "drop" and not "withdraw."</p>
<p>Will someone tell me how to correctly withdraw from a class?</p>
<p>In the case of an 8-week class like A-100, the last day for auto-withdrawal is Tuesday, 9/28th. eDrop is how you will withdraw from this class. Directions are here:
<a href=“http://registrar.indiana.edu/pdfs/eDrop.pdf[/url]”>http://registrar.indiana.edu/pdfs/eDrop.pdf</a></p>
<p>If dropping this class brings you under 12 credit hours (probably not likely), it will bring you into part-time status which can have a lot of negative effects. Make sure you have at least 12 hours once the change goes into effect. If it does bring you under 12 credits,
you need to find another 8week/2nd session class to add to your schedule.</p>
<p>My son was in the same position as you 3 years ago. Kelley added a section of a-100 for the second 8 weeks, and he took that. You may want to check with Kelley to see if they will be adding any seats for the second 8 weeks.</p>
<p>“NOTE
Dropping classes could result in reduction or repayment of financial aid and additional tuition charges may apply.
Submitting an eDrop request is not a confirmation that the course has been dropped from your schedule.
Once submitted, your eDrop request will be routed to the appropriate advisor, department chair, and/or dean for approval.
Once approved, your request will be processed and an e-mail confirming that the Drop is official will be sent to your University e-mail account.
Until you receive an e-mail which says the Drop has been approved and processed, or until you confirm via “My eDocs,” you are still enrolled in the course. All rules and requirements still apply, and you should continue to attend the class.
Any eDrop not approved or disapproved two weeks after the submission date will be disapproved by the Office of the Registrar.”</p>
<p>Good luck!</p>
