How to withdrawal an application that is incomplete?

I want to withdrawal an application where I only submitted SAT scores and an interview. I never submitted the actual application and writings. Online I only see withdrawal email examples for already accepted students. How should I word my email? Should I ask them to withdrawal my incomplete application file?

This isn’t a situation where you need to follow a protocol. Think of what you want to communicate and then state it clearly and succinctly.

“Dear Sirs: I wish to formally withdraw my application from further consideration. Thank you”

You probably don’t need to do anything at all, unless u want to stop receiving communications from the school. With an incomplete application, there is no danger u will be accidentally admitted.

I would send an email out of courtesy. This is slightly shortened version of what my D sent to two schools she interviewed at but ultimately did not apply to. One admissions officer did not reply (which was fine) and one who she had a particularly nice interview with replied very warmly.

Dear ZZZ,
t was a pleasure to meet you and speak to you about XXX College After careful consideration, I decided to apply Early Decision to YYY. I was accepted and will be attending YYY in the fall. Therefore, I will not be submitting an application to XXX College.
Thank you again for the time you spent with me. I wish you the best for a happy and healthy new year.
Yours truly,

@GMTplus7‌: I strongly agree with @happy1. Courtesy is always highly desirable, even if it is not specifically required to accomplish the immediate objective.
