How to Write a LOCI?

I have two waitlists that I want to stay on and show my continued interest for. I’m not quite sure what to write in one though. Most of the google searches come up to law school LOCIs for some reason. I was thinking it should be mostly updated information(ECs and maybe grades?) and stating that school X is still my first choice. However, some say to also list reasons why you want to go to that school as well, but that seems excessive with the “why x school” essay already. So how long should a LOCI be and what type of stuff should I include in it? One of the two schools is truly my first choice, and I want to emphasize that as much as possible.
