I have this idea for a short story. It's actually a really good plot and the characters are easy to describe, but the descriptive/elaborating part is really hard to write. I can get the characters described fine, but things like dialogue and actions. Well, they just don't flow with the rest of the story. It's sounds awkward when I write it(well, some parts are good) and I was wondering if any of you knew how to get my writing much more... Smooth? Easy going? I just want it to sound not completely awkward. Could any of you give me some help? ¿Por favor?

Read read read.
Write write write.

That’s pretty much where universal advice on writing begins and ends, and it’s the only way to ensure your writing will have a consistent flow. That said, not all stories have to be descriptive; if that’s not your style, don’t force it. For dialogue, try reading it out loud or playing it in your head.

good stories are best written by highly intelligent people (that was the conclusion i came to a long time ago anyway).

Wanna PM it to me? I want to go into writing/publishing, and I really enjoy doing that type of stuff.
