How to write for the Daily Cal?

I am a high school senior set on attending Berkeley, hopefully in the Fall. I have participated in journalism since the 7th grade and am now the editor in chief of my high school newspaper. I applied to major in psychology, but do I need to change this to Mass Communications/Media Studies in order to participate in the Daily Cal as an undergrad?

no.
they have recruitment meetings at the beginning of each semester.
[Apply to the Daily Cal](http://apply.dailycal.org/)

You don’t; a girl on my floor is an engineer (!) and ‘got in’ (so to speak; you have to apply) so you definitely don’t need to be in either of those majors. They’ll have the application instructions online (apply.dailycal.org) when the time comes.

Good luck! (:

Yes. They’ll ask you to give two (IIRC) writing samples and a resume.
I applied last Spring and got rejected. I don’t particularly care since they don’t pay and I’ve got my own blog.
