How are is it to do REALLY good at OSU? Can I get majority A’s? Compared to other schools, how tough is it?

There are a lot of variables. It depends on you and on your major. My daughter is in engineering and it's not easy to get an A in many of her classes.

My son is in Business...he is a third quarter freshman with just over a 3.8 GPA, but he works his butt off for it.

My brother is in Honors Engineering, and he has around a 3.3 or 3.4, Freshman year.

Most of his friends in Engineering have about the same or worse, but his friends outside of the honors program and outside of Engineering have slightly high GPAs on average.

To be aware, very few graduate college with a 4.0. Nothing is weighted, and so a few B's decimate your GPA more than a few in high school would. Also, my brother discussed a teacher who opened his class by telling the students that half would fail, though I don't recall which teacher or class this was.

I've never been in a class that was curved so I'm a bit unfamilar with it. What are the curves like... Does every professor do it if the averages are low enough? If they do curve what do they usually curve it to? By that I mean, do they make it so the upper half of the class gets at least a B or some other method.
