How tough is NHS admission?

What kind of scores and admits does NHS have? I understand that it is somewhat easier to get into than other programss at GU.

The short answer is that the average SAT score for NHS '09 is about 1350, which is 70 points lower than than the average for the entire class of '09 which is 1430. The acceptance rate is about 33% as opposed to the 21% in SFS, 19% in COL and 25% in MSB. There were over 500 applicants for 100 in spots in the class of 2009, but judging by the open houses NHS has has this year, it looks like that applicant number will be going up in the next few years.

However, the admissions officers are experts at sorting out the BS applicants. If you have no demonstrated interest in the healthcare field, you will not get in, period. NHS admissions knows that students think it's the easiest to get into, so they're on the lookout for kids they think will switch into the College after the first year.

So the answer to your question...By the numbers, it is less selective, but if you are not what they are looking for, no matter how good your scores, you won't get in. Good luck tho! Hope to see you next year
