I would like to know how tough is the engineering program.
I need first-hand opinions. How many out of class hours of study would I need everyday.
Thank you

The engineering program is very challenging. I entered Ohio State dead set on becoming an Engineer but by the end of my second quarter I had changed my mind completely. This is my perspective however. I did not take AP classes in high school, instead I opted for the regular college prep classes and I found my “introductory” chemistry class to be extremely difficult. If you are an “A” student in high school while taking the tough classes though it would be manageable. Roughly half of my friends are Engineering or were at some point, the sad truth is that many people quit after a quarter or two and opt for easier courses.

I’d say for every hour that I spend working on my assignments and studying for my Economics classes, my friends spend a minimum of three to four on theirs. If you want to be an engineer though, getting through the program here is very rewarding. You will definitely feel accomplished.

Here’s the life of an Engineering major…you have three options, pick two: Social Life, Good Grades, Enough Sleep. I’m just kidding of course, but many times my friends opt for staying in and studying while myself and others are out at the bar.

Hahaha thank you I like the way you wrote that

Glad I could make you laugh ;)
