<p>I plan to apply and major in math at U M, does anyone know the competitiveness(workload ect.) of the math department or UM as a whole? I need a high GPA(like 3.7) cuz I am considering law school afterwards. Thanks</p>
<p>if you are doing pure math, the workload outside of 295-296-395-396 isn't too bad until you get to 593-4-5-6ish classes. the workload for those four can vary from instructor but definitely manageable. if you can keep up (not necessarily ace everything) with the material and homework of the intro sequence, then you shouldn't have any problems maintaining a 3.7 in your math courses.</p>
