How unlucky can one be

My sister was so excited about taking her first standardized tests that really matter, in the past she has done well on standardized tests and she thought she would do well on the SAT. The week of the SAT comes and on the Thursday before the test she falls sick. She missed school on Friday hoping she could recover before the test. She wakes up on Saturday and looks terrible, takes the SAT and only gets a 1670. Ok thats the SAT maybe the ACT suits her better. April 3 she gets sick again rests all day , praying she gets well by the test. Again Saturday she looks like crap(takes like 20 tissues with her). She said she tottaly bombed the test, she guessed on a lot of the questions.

How unlikely can one be?

The possibilities are endless…

As for your sister, it seems pretty clear that both of you know that she would have done better if she wasn’t sick. No need to say the SAT isn’t for her if she took it half dead. And no way you can compare them even if she took both while sick. Anyway, good luck to your sister. If worst comes to worst, she might be able to score 2000 sick.

My mom tried to convince her to stay home the day of the ACT cause she looked horrendous. I cant imagine taking a test sick, if i even have a slight cold or migraine i stay home .
