How useful is a BS in Environmental Science? Any suggestions?

In short, I’m afraid to major in anything outside of the STEM field bc I’ve been hearing that all BA degrees will leave me working at McDonalds for the rest of my life, so I feel compelled to major in something STEM related but that also involves people and minimal math (not very good at math by any means). I guess more than anything I want a degree that will give me hard skills as well as as much flexibility as possible for post graduate options, what ever they may be. Needless to say, I’m too indecisive for my own good. I’m also considering economics, but my school only offers a BA, so…

BS in Environment Science by itself is not the road to a high salary. Considering your interests, something in the business/economics field sounds like a better fit.

At St Olaf there is a professor that teaches environmental economics. https://wp.stolaf.edu/environmental-studies/people/rebecca-judge/

That field might be a good blend of your interests. It can be stats heavy.
