I am using the grubers complete SAT guide for Math and princeton review (not the 2400 one) for everything else along with the BB but compared with the other two books, the BB seems devoid of a lot of information. I get that it is very useful for practice tests, but it still seems very empty. Also, I have been practicing with these books for about 4 days now and try to do about 4 hours a day. Is it possible for me to get my score up from a 1990 to a 2200+? On writing I just didn't know all the rules and on CR for some reason I got all the questions right on the passage based reading but 4 medium questions so I think that 3.333 months of preparation will be enough to bring it up. For math I really don't know but I hope my studying will help. My induvidial scores were W:660 CR: 690 M:640. I am not saying I will begin studying but rather that I have already begun to study a good 4 hours a day for 4 days and I am still going to do this for another 3 months. I can also change the time to 5 hours a day if it will make a difference. My dream school is Brown and I will let myself down if my SAT doesn't reflect how serious I am about applying to this school. I will be taking the test on October 6th.

We are on the same boat, I’m also studying like crazy and taking the October SAT except your sat is higher than mine. The BB is quite essential ONCE you have all the concepts down, since it’s where you test your knowledge. Your plan sound good, and four hours is plenty. Just don’t rely on those books at all for practice. If you want to save up the BB practice tests (at least for the first month of studying, as you are just grasping the concepts) then use released tests. I suggest these:

They’ve been really helpful for me. Good luck!

Wow thanks! This stuff is awesome =). Good luck to you as well. Here’s to hoping that studying can really make a difference and we weren’t just lied to during High School.=/ I really hope that improvement is possible.
