ya i thought it was really hard.

i thought it was medium...well easier than calc bc for me

i hope the the curve is very nice

for FRQ, what's a good length for answer? I wrote about 1/3 to 1/2 for each sub question (like 1a) or 1b))...is that normal? more? too little?

For those seniors suffering from senioritis (like my D who is in the process of doing it), and who have been at the point of not caring anymore, I hope this test isn't going to be a complete disaster. Yikes.

lol see this was the epitome of my LAST big test in high school as I have become afflicted with senioritis BUT we still have to take final exams since some teacher's don't know HOW TO PLAN correctly :/

in compared to last 3-4 years, I believe today's MC was the hardest and the FRQ's were average/ some ppl may have felt unprepared for some of the topics

I thought the FRQs weren't that bad... I saw the first one and was like "yes!" b/c that was the only thing i remembered from the beginning period of the class. Then i got to 3 & 4 and parts of those made me go -_-.... Otherwise, I thought the MC was a lot easier than the 2008 audit.

Is this CURVE accurate AT ALL? someone posted it on the thread for AP exams curve...I thought u need 70% to get a 5?

AP Bio:
5: 60.7%
4: 46.6%
3: 34.8%
2: 21.4%
1: 0-21%

yeah, 60% is about right...in cliffs, it's 61%

There is no argument here. The MCs were hard and the FR was hard as well. I compared this with all the last 8 years and no argument here. I think the curve is going to drop to 55% for a '5' and a 45% for a '4'.

If they use the bell shaped curve, it is going to be a right-skew. No kidding. There may be some lucky people here and there, but overall sentiment is very sour and negative. I am used to getting '5' in all the practice exams. I am hopeful that I can get a '4', but need one extra help from the curve 'GOD' to get a 5.

JAY

oh god i hope it's 55% for a 5.
oh well, at least i'm done with that :D

now psych and human geography left D:

whats the 2008 audit??

OH MY GOD. IT WAS AWFUL. I am hoping for a three, seriously. It was so bad.

Our teacher did not prepare us at ALL. We didn't know anything about anything about the blood/hemoglobin questions, or net productivity, or anything. I am so angry that we weren't prepared...

We were well-prepared; my teacher really knows what she's doing. Last year, the average score in her class was 4.4 or something.

Some of my FRQs got a little BS-y, but I still knew enough to throw around the right terms and vague descriptions.

Haha, with the exception of two of them, my FQRs were utter bull, completely wrong. I'm glad that section is worth 40% and not the 60%.

whats the 2008 audit?

The Collegeboard asked AP teachers to fill out an audit, which is basically a syllabus but a lot longer and more in depth, to make sure that the teachers were actually doing what they were supposed to do, since there were a lot of classes that were called AP, but weren't at that level for some reason. This year, the teachers that filled the audit and passed received a practice test from the Collegeboard, and this is what everyone is talking about.

I didn't think it was that bad, but it's only because our teacher gave us "practice" tests that were RIDICULOUSLY hard, so compared to those...

With the MC you either knew it or you didn't. Not alot of thought, just alot of remembering...brain hurts

BTW, what was UP with #2 on the FR? Did anybody else cover that???

^ Haha yea, our class JUST did that... except, my group split it up so I didn't do any work related to it =/ So I totally made stuff up...

"If a person leaves 30 blank, and get 10-15 wrong on MC, what will be the MC score for that person?

I think I did decent about 25 pts on FRQ and probably more...? so what is that for FRQ score? and overall score?"

Assuming the worst case scenarios and you got 15 wrong on the MC, your score is about 60.089. With 25 FRQ points, thats about 37.5. Altogether that's 97.589 (65%), which should be a 5. So I wouldn't worry about it.

I did'nt find it that hard so i'm thinking a 5.. mc was easier than frq
