How was AP Euro

I thought the M/C was fairly straightforward and simple. Lots of random questions though.

The DBQ was quite simple, i managed to write around 4 pages...(1 hour 10 min) the essays were ok (2pages each) i finished both essays in 40 min, with 20 min to spare.

I was aiming for a 4, and i think i nailed that for sure. Maybe 5.

I procrastinated until the last minute to study for APE, so I prepared myself for utter humiliation. I read my textbook nonstop last night and then read my review book nonstop this morning from 6 to 11. That was fun.

The MC was easier than I expected, and I'm very grateful for it. The DBQ and FRQs weren't bad. I think my first two essays were solid. But I was just so exhausted by the end that I only wrote 1.5 pages for my last FRQ. I gave up, but I don't particularly care.

haha i procrastinated until 9am this morning as well, when i read some stuff from 1800 till 1970 from my Kaplan book. It helped alot actually.

The first 4 M/c questions caught me off guard, but when i went back to them in the end they were actually easy.

I feel like I can accomplish anything that I want to. I triupumhed over my awful teacher and pulled off an amazing victory against this test.

ME TOO^
My teacher was lazy and did little to ensure that the class scored decently on the test. Everyones was practically sleeping after the first hour of the essay section. I was aiming for a 3 but I might get lucky and get a 4 since I felt I did better then expected in the MC section.

it was the easiest test ever. on the multiple choice i think i got about 75-76 right and an 8 or 9 on all my essays. total domination.

I thought the M/C was relatively difficult. It asked random questions that really had no important significance in european history. Furthermore the choices given were purposely phrased differently to make the answer harder to find. The DBQ was so obscure. They wanted WAY too much on it; it wasn't a bad DBQ just a lot of things to write about. The essays were ok. They could have picked better topics. Many of the essays from the past years have had the same central points but these essays didn't. Meh, I want to go into detail about it but I'll wait 48 hours. I feel like I studied the wrong thing. Who to blame? I blame my AP review book!

Euro was good, very good. The multiple choice was relatively easy. I guess we can't go in much detail, but...I'm completely obsessed with British history, and I was sad that there was nothing on the reformation in the essays. But it turned out alright, I think.

Hmmm I took Euro last year and it was very easy overall, and the sports DBQ raped lol.

Yes the DBQ was long. Which prep book did you study?

How long is it before we can discuss the questions?

I felt that the MC was rather easy finished 25 minutes early). Or at least, it was easier than the practice MCs we did in class. I'd say I probably got around 10-12 wrong and left 2 blank. Overall, the rest of my class thought it was okay to moderately difficult... a bunch of people were suprised at how much post-WWII stuff was on there and several ran out of time.

On the DBQ my initial reaction was along the lines of ***? but actually, it wasn't that bad. I think I managed at least a 7 on it. My essay was 3 pages and half a line on page 4 (I write small).

For the essays I chose numbers 4 and 5 (I can say that if I don't reveal what they were, right?). Both were relatively sick, I believe... I'm guessing 8-9 on those. Everyone in my Euro class ended up picking #4, however, most of the class chose number 7 as opposed to number 5.

So yeah, overall, the test was surprisingly easy... much better than AB calculus at least :-).

Yeah i thot MC was easy.. i always get the random questinos right b/c i knwo random things lol. There were alot that i watned to skip but i got them narrowed them down to 3 or 2 so i just guessed lol. I skipped 2 total.
In DBQ at first i was like s#$t when i first read the question. It took a LONG time to organize.. but everyone alwasys starts wrting the essay before in class so i wasn't that scared. (some ppl were on 2nd page when i didnt start writing). I think i did pretty good. Hopefully got an 8 or soemthing. but i mgiht have gotten 5 b/c my one of my point of views sucked.
IN FRQ i picked 4 & 7 but i dont think we can talk anymore about that. I was surprised taht i had 10-15 minutes still left. I think i had lots of random grammar errors but really small ones. I had less than 3 in DBQ and less than 2 in FRQ's.
I think i got a 4 b/c of FRQ were bad.

does anyone know what number of points out of 180 is needed for a 3? a 4?

I can't find a full curve anywhere on here besides one post that said a 5 was 121/180.

edit: nevermind, found it.

4 is 120. 3 is 99

I think I did okay; I only need a 4 for college credit so I'm crossing my fingers.

MC wasn't the easiest, but then again I self-studied and procrastinated. XD

I thought the DBQ was excellent, I wrote just over 6 pages. My first essay was just over 4, and my last essay was 3 pages. Had the most trouble coming up with info for the last one, plus I was kind of burned out at that point.

Overall I did way better than I thought I was going to, so I'm happy. :)

Hated MC. Skipped 13 or so and wish I skipped more. There were a lot of things that were specific facts; my teacher was teaching us to know the big picture the whole year. Hoping to get 50 or so...

DBQ was a dumb topic. I it broke up into the most basic groups and started rambling towards the end. But overall it seemed decent: I'm hoping for 7 or 8.

FRQs were OK. I chose the ones I though I knew the most about, only to realize I accidently summed up everything I knew in the first paragraph. So I'll probably get 5s or 6s.

I really want a 4 for college credit...

-The Accredited Coot66

I thought that the multiple choice was REALLY eassy. The essays went ok, i wrote about 2 pages of each of the FRQ and about 4 pages for the DBQ. I still have no idea of what i might get. Hopefully a 4 or a 5

multiple choice was okay.

dbq was LAME. i'm not even sure if i pulled it off, and i usually get 8 or 9's in class. it was too many parts they wanted.

THEN for the frqs i killed myself.

i started on number 2, did a page and a half, crossed it all out, and did number 4 instead.

i finished that one like, ten minutes after they said "you should be in section c if you aren't' already"

kids around me were finishing up, and i was dying BECAUSE

once again, i wrote a page and a half (this time on number 5 i think?)

and then CROSSED THE WHOLE THING OUT AGAIN!!!

and did number 7, which i think i did OKAY on, but guessed at some of the small parts (the begining of the question, for those who did that one)

so i finished miraculously with like, 3 minutes left and went back and made sure i had REALLY crossed everything out so they'd get the picture, and my book looked like a total mess.

oh, and, even though i'm a girl, i have pretty bad handwriting, so at this point i hope they can even READ it.

oh well. it's over. time to move on to bio and math finals.

4 and a half more days of school for me :] !!!
may 18th baby!

The MC was a little bit harder than I thought, at least compared to my cliffnotes book. I didn't read post WWII so I didn't really know the last 5 or so questions. It was so-so IMO. The DBQ was a little weird, but once I got a hang of it it was a breeze. FRQ topics were great-- Choose 4 & 7. The test was definitely a lot easier than I thought! :)

although not expecting a 5 since MC was so random(and I just pulled out all the notes out of my big old notebook yesterday midnight! severe procrastination ;(). Yeah, I did really good w/ the DBQ and FRQs. I did 4 and 7 too. I was so wishing that there wouldn't be any frq's or dbq on post wwii or even starting from 20th century! yeah, I'm saved!

Most students were sleeping though (I mean, not taking the test at all!) in the testing center and we could actually hear one snoring! (lol!) It was fun to watch how some students just went there and just slept or did basically nothing while being laughed at (he is my very good friend though!)
