john muir has the easiest GE's =) i'm planning to double major and double minor.. thats insane but ill figure something out. we're also the most social, etc. but i wasn't at all impressed with the outside of muir and the dorms were.. eh.. but the beach compensates for it. talked to a couple students and still not sure if i want to go to sd. i'm deciding if i should go to a junior college for a year and transfer to usc. any advice? but i definitely am more willing to go to sd after going to admit day.

Campus is freakin amazing.

Muir Dorm sucks balls. Anyone complaining about Sixth College Dorms haven't seen Muirs. It's like a giant prison.

Don't go beyond La Jolla, it's Beaner Town.

Weath ROCKED. Beaches are UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL!!! Everyone should've walked 5 minutes from campus to the beaches. There must have been like 200 UCSD students surfboarding.

Anyone from Marshall attend? Howwwww was it?

I went to roosevelt, n it was really nice, the dorms were nice, they look new as heck from th outside. There were some parts of th college that looked classical and stuff, so it was a nice contrast to how new the restaurant place and the dorms look. Also, its probably a 2 minute walk or so, from the dorms and the restaurant to RIMAC, which is the gym, and the weight room and basketbal court is insanely nice. Food was ok, nothin spectacular, but it wasnt bad either.

If anybody's majoring in these subjects, the poly sci professor amazed me, he was interested in undergrads.

Econ professor was ok, the econ people seem more stressed out and occupied than poly sci people.

Why the **** is RIMAC way the hell up on the corner of the campus with the Roosevelts? God damn, it took me 30 minutes to find it!

I couldn't find Warren or Sixth, hehe. Oh well.

RIMAC is way up there to encourage preliminary exercise for those who really want to be in shape.

John Muir Is The Best!!!! It has nice ocean view from the balcony!!

The Marshall tour was pretty decent. It didn't blow me away, but I wasn't disappointed either. The orientation leaders were generally sincere and welcoming, as I assume most UCSD students are.

I'm in love with the residential halls there though. It's warm and cosy. It's basically what you see on the Marshall housing website, with more of a more home-y, personal touch to it.

That, and the fact that Marshall's dining hall is the only one that opens until 1 AM, whereas others close at 8 PM (I think).

I'll upload some pictures when I get the chance.

I like ERC dorms the best but I am all for JOHN MUIR!!!

Post some more pictures!

Revelle has a late dining area too. Plaza on the side, I think - that's open until 1am.

Still, you're going to choose ovt over pots if you actually want foor at 1230.

;)

i was at admit day and revelle wasnt bad but now i am hearing that revelle is one of the worst colleges at ucsd. it is all good for school and it has the prestige but as far as student life revelle isnt that good. but luckily i may be at usc so whatever.

revelle student life didn't seem bad at all at admit day - they seemd the most lively and into it

what do you guy think of the campus overall, is UCSD better than UCI and what about UCLA?
Looking at the pictures, how do you know what road to enter- the parkings seems very confusing. If you go off the 15 freeway, what college do you enter first?

"If you go off the 15 freeway, what college do you enter first?"

The 5 freeway.

The main campus is roped off by 4 roads, La jolla village to the south, Torry pines to the west, Genesee to the north and the 5 to the east. There are several "entry points" to the school, most take Gilman through the middle of the campus between the med school and Revelle.

"Looking at the pictures, how do you know what road to enter"

You'll know.

"what do you guy think of the campus overall, is UCSD better than UCI and what about UCLA?"

Each has very different architecture and the appeal is subjective. UCI is very urban but logically laid out (a giant circle). UCLA is also very urban but very small (only a few hundred acres opposed to UCSD's 2000). I personally like UCSD's campus and UCLA's architecture.

John Muir Represent!!

ucsd's campus is way nicer than uci. i like ucla's more tho cus it loks more traditional.
