How was the math2 test in may?

im gonna take it in june (sat2 math lvl2 test)
just wanted to know how you guys felt about it
was there stuff that was liek really weird or out of the ordinary?
thanks!

There wasn’t really weird / out of the ordinary stuff.
There was one really easy matrix addition, and one sum of the roots thing where I totally forgot about sum of the roots.
If you want to do well, you should be really smooth with your trig, and with functions, and knowing how graphs work. Otherwise it helps to be good conceptually with math, since they could ask you something conceptual like, for how many integers is |x| = x^2 (this wasn’t on it, but it’s -1, 0, and 1 so 3).

I’d say if you’re doing well in trig and precalc in school, it’s not very hard.

thanks!
any more insight?

I thought it was a little harder than the collegeboard practice tests, but I don’t think there was anything really weird or unexpected. I was also totally not awake the morning of May 2nd and kept zoning out…I had finished the practice tests with quite a bit of time to spare, but I actually ran out of time on the actual test.

Soo, I guess my only advice is not to get too overconfident/lazy…and sleep plenty the night before. :]

I also thought it was ever so slightly harder than the College Board practice test (I got them all right). Though I had just drained my brain from two hours of USH + Physics, so that may be why. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary though.

^^ oh wow, i would never be able to get thru 3 subject tests in one sitting lol
thats pretty impressive
and congrats on getting them all right

and i def won’t be overconfident

i got an 800. if you can get above 750 on a barrons math 2 practice book, you’re definitely on pace to get an 800

would you say the test was similar to sparknotes or mcgraw hill?

bumpbump :)

I thought it was really easy. I took it as my third test on that day and scored an 800. If you’ve finished trig, it should be a breeze with a little review. I never even took a practice test.

definitely sparknotes. i took all 5 sparknotes tests and got 800s on all of them the week before, timed, so if you can do that then you’ll be fine

oh nice thanks
