How was the PSAT?

I’m pretty sure I got a perfect, if not one wrong on the math section… Reading is not my strong point I’m sure I only got 70% or lower on reading. Writing started out easy then I sort of stopped trying on the story part. …

Did anyone get the vocab question with prosaic with one of the answers? I don’t remember which question it was, but it was the only vocab completion I struggled with. I think I chose an answer like “emphatic” or something.

On the 50 mph one, I got 7.2 minutes too.

i think i did pretty well on CR and Math but I thought the I identifying sentence errors on writing was very hard.

Does anyone remember the vocab question that had the answer choices as deplore, superficial, and equivocal? I wasn’t too sure about that one.

@biovball
i remember that question. Do you know the other answer choices? I don’t think I put emphatic though.

@omaryasin
I got deplorable, which I’m pretty sure is correct.
The sentence was saying that the scientists’ presentation was _____ because it was misleading and had bad information and such. Deplorable means having bad quality, so I thought that made sense.

And I don’t remember the other choices for that question, sorry. It may come to me in a bit.

@biovball
thanks. I put equivocal because of the words like “misunderstood” but i think you might be right.

That’s true. I guess a few of those answers could have made sense.

Now I’m remembering a bit more about that question. It had something to do with libraries. So I guess I got that wrong because last time I checked, libraries aren’t “emphatic” xP

Lol, now I’m having doubts about my answer of deplorable lol because equivocal is starting to make more sense to me…

dont worry about it too much. a lot of people i talked to put either deplorable or equivocal. some even put superficial.

I got 7.2 also

Sent from my SCH-I500 using CC App

I thought I did very well on the math section, but not so good on the cr and writing :/

@msteiny: i got hung up on that too. I think i said the same thing but i’m not sure. None of them were great.

Overall, i think i did okay. I thought writing was the easiest. On reading i found it pretty good, i had a feeling “quixotic” would turn up. I got hung up on the question about charlotte bronte standing between her sister and the italics thing. That was weird.

Math was the worst. I was really rushed. I kept jumping around. I know i screwed up with the parallelogram fill-in. Also volume of a cylinder and the thing with the apples. I probably got in the mid-60s at best.

I put equivocal. In my opinion, that was the most difficult vocab question. Equivocal means misleading, so it fit the sentence. Deplorable means disgustingly bad, so I guess it fits, but it seemed kind of unspecific (misinformation, misleading, etc. fits with equivocal more than deplorable). Even so, most people put deplorable, so I’m probably wrong.

what were the other answer choices for that quixotic question? I was about to put that but i put something else instead. I think i put C

Check this out, it seems some of these questions were on the 2008 SAT:

My thoughts:

Section 1 CR: What is this.

Section 2 M: It was OK…

Section 3 CR: THIS IS SO MUCH EASIER THAN THE FIRST SECTION.

Section 4 M: MC was easy. Grid-ins were a bit misleading.

Section 5 W: A relief.

interesting that some questions were from the 2008 sat. but still many people were debating between equivocal and deplore as well. ughh im not sure. I think its probably deplore now that i think about it.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but was professor mo being sarcastic when he said “kindly” a lot or was it actually him being nice

I couldn’t tell, I thought that question was hard :/
