How was the PSAT?

I thought it was him mocking him on that one

yeah i said mocking but yes that was a hard question

OHHHHHHHHHHH I said unfettered. Either unfettered or I left it blank.

Can someone explain 7.2 to me…?

Did you guys get 70πr^2 for the cylinder one?

the person reached his location in 6 minutes while going 60 mph. basically 10 units per minute. The person wants to know how long will it take to reach the location in 50 while going 50mph. So I did 60/50 which= 1.2. And then I added 1.2 to 6 minutes so the answer is 7.2?

I got A for the cylinder one which was i think 35 pi or something like that

But couldn’t you use D=rt?
As in:

D=60(0.1)
D=6 miles

6=50(t)
6/50=t

t=12 minutes

This is how I worked it:

It took 6 minutes for a car going 60 mph to travel the distance. 60 mph is equivalent to 1 mile per minute. 6 minutes would be 6 miles, so the distance would be 6 miles.
50 mph is equivalent to 5/6 of a mile per minute. 6 miles divided by 5/6 miles/minute is 7.2 minutes.

^Oh. Fail… :(

Great… that makes 3.

For the cylinder I did:

70π = 2πrh
rh = 35
r = .5, h = 70
V = πr^2h
= 70πr^2

Is it just me or was math REALLY easy! I can’t believe how easy it was… Well except for the grid in ones. But the rest were a breeze. I guessed on nearly all of the sentence completion! I didnt read the passages because I ran out of time. And the writing, didn’t finish like 8, cause I ran out of time! D: I’m sacreeddd I failed!

1) What was the question/answer to the vocabulary question with the options quixotic, esoteric…?

2) For the critical reading about the sprawl towns, there were one or two questions about the feelings of the author of passage one…does anyone remember the questions were for these?

3) For the one about the writer and her sister’s actions, was the answer unfortunate but understandable or malevolent but understandable (synonym)?

4) Slippery most nearly means unreliable?

i put slippery meant unreliable and for the sister one i put unfortunate but understandable.

Anyone got the three circles, and they asked how many numbers are in the shaded area? I got c. 27? You guys?

28, as most people I asked did
30-2 cause you cancel 36 and 81

people answer my questions ^^^

I also got A for the cylinder one which was 35pi something.

There was a question in the beginning of critical reading part 1 that option A (I think it was option A) was esoteric, did anyone get that answer?

@Joe: 3. I got unfortunate but understandable
4. I got unreliable.

joe, for 3, was there one about how she had good intentions? I put that one. And for 4, yes that’s what I put.

I’m pretty sure I got 28 for the circle one.

i think i also put 27 for the circles question. I may be wrong though.
And no I dont think I put esoteric for the cr question. What were the other choices?

I don’t remember the question or the other answers at all. :frowning: I probably got it wrong.
